A FrontPage theme


Introduction


This documentation is to help you learn how to use mySB. It is a very advanced piece of software that allows you to manipulate your springboard like never before. A quick overview is it gives you a blank canvas. Allows you to place apps and move them wherever you like, change the app icon to whatever you like (without Anemone), add widgets and basically own your homescreen.

mySB is used with FrontPage, you must have FrontPage installed to use mySB.

Go to settings, choose FrontPage settings

  • Enable FrontPage

  • Make sure disable user interaction is off

  • Select top

  • Make sure Keep Current Icons is off

  • Hide dock, icons, and page dots

  • Two finger swipe down on the springboard to open the FrontPage menu find mySB, Tap it to apply

Your screen will be blank triple tap to add an app or swipe up to activate the drawer

Folder Options Scroll to top

By pressing Folder Options in the main menu it will take you to a submenu this submenu contains multiple options.

X Axis from center

mySB will automatically center the folder window. Adjust the X axis to move this window in the X axis. A negative value will move the window left, while a positive value will move it right. When set to 0 it will centered.

Y Axis from center

mySB will automatically center the folder window. Adjust the Y axis to move this window in the Y axis. A negative value will move the window up, while a positive value will move it down. When set to 0 it will centered.

Folder Bg Color

Change the folder background color. Enter a color in the box and the badge background color will change. You can use hex colors or names of certain colors example red.

Folder width in percent

Changes the width of the folder by percent. Example 50 will be half the size of the screen.

Folder height in pixels

Changes the folder height.

Folder border radius

Rounds the corners of folders.

Takes you back to the Main Menu

Badge Options Scroll to top

By pressing Badge Options in the main menu it will take you to a submenu this submenu contains multiple options.

Pick Badge Image

Set an image as a badge. This image will be applied to all badges. When selected it will open a menu which allows you to search through /Library/Themes/ for an image you would like to use. Any image can be used even an icon image. If you have no themes nothing will show here.

Reset Badge Image

Remove any image that was applied using Pick Badge Image

Badge Bg Color

Change the badge background color. Enter a color in the box and the badge background color will change. You can use hex colors or names of certain colors example red. If you plan to have an image as a badge set this to the word transparent.

Badge Border Color

Change the badge border color. Enter a color in the box and the badge border color will change. You can use hex colors or names of certain colors example red. You can also use transparent.

Badge Text Color

Change the badge text color. Enter a color in the box and the badge text color will change. You can use hex colors or names of certain colors example red. You can also use transparent.

Resize/Move

  • Badge Scale

  • Badge X Axis

  • Badge Y Axis

  • Set

  • Reset

  • Close

Scale changes the size of the badge, X axis will move the badge on the X axis (left/right), Y will move the badge on the Y axis (top/bottom), Set sets the applied changes, reset resets the changes, and close closes the menu taking you back to the main menu.

Hide Options Scroll to top

By pressing Hide Options in the main menu it will take you to a submenu this submenu contains multiple options.

Hide Labels

Toggles icon labels to show or hide. This text will change when pressed showing which option it will apply.

Hide Badges

Toggles icon badges to show or hide. This text will change when pressed showing which option it will apply.

Hide Page Dots

Toggles page dots to show or hide. This text will change when pressed showing which option it will apply.

Show Signal

Toggles a signal element to show or hide. This text will change when pressed showing which option it will apply.

Show Wifi

Toggles a wifi element to show or hide. This text will change when pressed showing which option it will apply.

Show Battery

Toggles a battery element to show or hide. This text will change when pressed showing which option it will apply.

Toggle Grid

Toggles a grid to show or hide. This can be used as a guide to place icons. This text will change when pressed showing which option it will apply.

Icon Options Scroll to top

By pressing Icon Options in the main menu it will take you to a submenu this submenu contains multiple options.

Icon Size

Enter a number to change the size of all icons. Do not enter px along with a number, just enter a plain number.

Pick Overlay

Launches a browser which will browse /Library/Themes/ find an image you like and it will apply it above all icons.

Pick Underlay

Launches a browser which will browse /Library/Themes/ find an image you like and it will apply it Below all icons.

Reset Overlay

Removes current applied Overlay.

Reset Underlay

Removes current applied Underlay.

Icon Radius

Rounds the edges of icons. You can make icons completely round by setting a high value such as 99.

Close

Takes you back to the Main Menu

Label Options Scroll to top

By pressing Label Options in the main menu it will take you to a submenu this submenu contains multiple options.

Label Color

Changes the color of icon labels. This can be a hex value or a color name.

Statusbar Options Scroll to top

By pressing Statusbar Options in the main menu it will take you to a submenu this submenu contains multiple options.

Wifi Color

Changes the color of the wifi element. This element should be enabled through hide options. This can be a hex value or a color name.

Wifi Size

Changes the size of the wifi element. This element should be enabled through hide options. This a number. Default is 1.0.

Signal Color

Changes the color of the signal element. This element should be enabled through hide options. This can be a hex value or a color name.

Signal Size

Changes the size of the signal element. This element should be enabled through hide options. This a number. Default is 1.0.

Battery Color

Changes the color of the battery element. This element should be enabled through hide options. This can be a hex value or a color name.

Battery Size

Changes the size of the battery element. This element should be enabled through hide options. This a number. Default is 1.0.

Close

Takes you back to the Main Menu

PageDots Options Scroll to top

By pressing PageDots Options in the main menu it will take you to a submenu this submenu contains multiple options.

Page Amount

Sets the number of pages you have on the springboard.

Close

Lock Options Scroll to top

By pressing Lock Options in the main menu it will take you to a submenu this submenu contains multiple options.

Unlock Items

Locks or Unlocks items on the homescreen this includes icons and widgets.

Lock Paging

Locks or Unlocks swiping to different pages.

Lock Widget Paging

Locks or Unlocks widgets scrolling to different pages.

Disable Widget Touch

Enables or disables widget touch interaction.

Layout Options Scroll to top

By pressing Layout Options in the main menu it will take you to a submenu this submenu contains multiple options.

Layout Name

Enter a name for the layout to save.

Save Layout

Saves a layout of your current setup.

Upload Layout

Uploads your current layout to my servers.

Download Layout

Downloads layouts from my server.

Small Menu

After you save a layout a small menu will appear. Click on any layout here to apply it.

Close

Takes you back to the Main Menu

Place App Scroll to top

By pressing Place App in the main menu it will open the app drawer, select an app here and it will be placed on the springboard.

Place Widget Scroll to top

By pressing Place Widget in the main menu it will open the widget center, select a widget here and it will be placed on the springboard. These widgets are uploaded ota (over the air), if a new widget is added you will automatically get it here. You cannot add widgets to this list and mySB does not support iWidgets or any other kind of widgets. You can apply AnemoneHTML widgets. Anemone widgets will show under mySB. If you wish to create widgets for mySB contact me and I would provide the tool to do so.

Reset Default Scroll to top

By pressing Reset Default in the main menu it will clear mySB so you can begin making another setup.

By pressing Close in the main menu it will close the main menu.

Tap Hold Options Scroll to top

There are a few elements that utilize a tap hold feature. Apps and Widgets

If you tap and hold on an app that is placed on your mySB page then it will provide this menu.

Change Icon

Allows you to change the apps icon. This will open the icon browser and lets you choose any icon from any theme you have in /Library/Themes/

Change App

Allows you to change the app to another app

Remove From SB

Removes the app from the homescreen

Reset Icon Image

Resets icon image to default

Opacity

Changes the opacity of the app you initiated the menu with. Value from 0.0 to 1.0

X Axis

Move the icon left or right 1 pixel at a time. This is used to fine adjust an apps position.

Y Axis

Move the icon up or down 1 pixel at a time. This is used to fine adjust an apps position.

Close

Closes the current menu.

If you tap and hold on an widget that is placed on your mySB page then it will provide this menu.

Remove Widget

Removes the widget from mySB screen.

Scale

Changes the size of the widget. 0.5 would make it half the size 2.0 would double its size.

Color

Some widgets this allows you to change the color or highlight color.

Close

Closes the widget menu

If you tap and hold on an app while in the drawer it will uninstall that app.

Gestures Scroll to top

Swiping up will always show the app drawer. Now you can add an app that opens the App Drawer too (its called app drawer) but swiping up is a very easy way to launch an app you don't have placed on your screen.

Swiping down will show the FrontPage menu, a lot of FrontPage themes have this gesture. It allows you to easily change FrontPage themes or jump to the FrontPage settings.

Hide Apps but still tap them

In mySB you can put an app on top of that widget and hide it. Tapping it will open an app. For example if you have a clock widget you can add the clock icon on the clock widget, then hide the icon. Now when you tap the widget it will open the clock.
